(HOLOCAUST). FRITZ LEDERER. “In the Eruv of Theresienstadt.” Suite of 21 engravings on large sheets, depicting concentration camp life. Each numbered from 1-24 (of?). Lacks numbers 2, 10 and 11. Each plate with penciled limitation in Roman numerals (from a series of 10). Each signed by the artist in pencil and with his with indecipherable penciled signature and monogram in red. With an additional 24 engravings on large sheets, all duplicates (and triplicates) from the suite above, all signed by the artist. Sheet size 17 x 24 inches (43 x 61 cm). See https://www.hfjs.eu/provenanceresearch/collection-emil-davidovic.html .     The Czech-Jewish artist Fritz (Bedřich) Lederer (1878-1949) was deported from Prague to Theresienstadt on August 18, 1944. He survived the war and returned to his hometown of Kynšperk nad Ohří (Königsberg an der Eger) where he died four years later.
