DISCHARGE CERTIFICATE. For Private Alexander Reiss, Company K, 66th New York Infantry. Two printed leaves with manuscript additions. Alexandria, Virginia, 4th May, 1862     Alexander Reiss, a cigar maker, entered the service on September 9, 1861. He was discharged honorably with disability at Alexandria Hospital on May 4, 1862.     The Shapell Manuscript Foundation have substantiated that Reiss was married by a rabbi and is buried in a Jewish cemetery.
