The Law for Protection of the Nation was an anti-Jewish racial law passed by the parliament of the Kingdom of Bulgaria following the example of the Nuremberg Laws in Nazi Germany. Measures were legislated for the definition, identification, and segregation of Jews, as well as their economic and social marginalization. The definition of ”persons of Jewish origin” (licata ot evrejski proizhod) was of both a racial and a religious character.
