Alter Kahana from his young children, Breindel, Zvi, Pinchas, Yitzchak Isaac and Baruch. Addressed ‘Zu Mein Tatte Shlit”a’. Sent from their grandparent’s home, R. Yosef Meir Kahana of Spinka-Yerushalayim. All the children would become or marry Chassidic figures in their own right. * Aerogramme from Widow of R. Yosef Meir Kahana of Spinka-Yerushalayim, to her son R. Alter Kahana. With her stamp, on the Rebbe’s letterhead. * Six aerogrammes from future Grand-Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Kahana of Ziditschov-Spinka to his father R. Alter Kahana. On letterhead of R. Yeshaya Shneibling ABD Bnei Rom. * Broadside from the Spinka Imrei Yosef Yeshiva announcing a special Unity Shabbos to commemorate the Yahrzeit of the Imrei Yosef. 1964. Jerusalem, c. 1952-85. R. Alter Kahana (1939-2009) was the second son of Grand-Rabbi Yosef Meir Kahana of Spinka-Yerushalayim. He would serve as the Grand-Rabbi of Ziditschov-Spinka and was succeeded by his eldest son, R. Zvi Hirsch. His other sons, rabbis Pinchas, Yitzchak Isaac and Baruch are active in Beit Shemesh and Beitar Illit.
