Gratz Town, PA. 29th April, 1844. David Gratz tells his brother Edward that he has sent him $623 and he trust it has been received. David Gratz (1815-61) and Edward Gratz (1806-69) were brothers. Gratz Town, from which David writes, known today as Gratz, Pennsylvania, was founded by their father Simon (1773-1839).
