(PHOTOGRAPHY). Photographies de Terre Sainte. Album with 48 large Albumen Prints by Felix Bonfils, including a large linen-backed 3-part ‘Panorama de Jerusalem.’ Title-page lettered in gilt. Images measure 9 x 11 inches (23 x 28 cm) nearly all with Bonfils' scripted credit and caption. Some photographs faded, browning to mounts. Original leather-backed carved olive-wood boards, rubbed. Oblong folio. Jerusalem, F.F. Marroum, Late 19th-century.     Fine album including 48 richly printed photographs, some rare, depicting ancient and holy ruins throughout Ramallah, Jaffa, Damascus, Bethlehem, and Jerusalem. Also with depictions of local life, scenic views, and architectural interiors, as well as six portraits.     The French photographer Félix Adrien Bonfils (1831-85) was one of the first fine photographers to produce images of the Bible Lands on a commercial scale.
