RARE Only two copies recorded in WorldCat.          Compiled by Prague’s Jewish Council of Elders (Altestenrat) FOR INTERNAL REFERENCE the present work is a complete account of all restrictive laws applicable to the Jews of Bohemia and Moravia, preserving the systematic Nazi disenfranchisement of Czech Jewry.     The table of contents underscores the pervasiveness of the laws on every aspect of daily life, with sections on general provisions, emigration, organizations, confiscation of Jewish property, position in public life, segregation from the Aryan population, elimination of the Jews from the economy, work assignments, living conditions, culture, police measures, etc.     A senior member of Prague’s Jewish community, FRANTISEK (FRANZ) FRIEDMANN (1897-1945) represented the Jewish Party on the city’s national council and edited the community bulletin (Věstník pražské židovské náboženské obce). During the Holocaust Friedmann served as the head of Prague’s Council of Elders from 1943. He lived to see the city liberated on May 11, 1945, but died of health complications as a result of the stresses of the war, just two weeks later.
