SCHNEERSON (GURARY), CHANA (Daughter of R. Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, the sixth Grand Rabbi of Lubavitch, 1899-1991) . Autograph Letter Signed , written in Russian to Nacha Rivkin. Following a visit from the latter’s husband, Rabbi Moshe DovBer Rivkin, extends thanks for gifts for her son and provides a detailed appraisal of various friends and relatives in Russia and in Poland, all written with much affection. Four pages. 8vo. [Riga], [1928].      Writes to her close friend in Jerusalem soon after the Schneerson family had been expelled from the Soviet Union, following the release of her father the Friediker Rebbe from incarceration:     “[We are] lonely people in foreign parts, with no friends or relatives. At least we [Rabbi Rivkin and Schneerson family members] sat together for a few hours and remembered the good old days. Maybe the past was not so good, but compared to the present, any past is good.”
