Solomon Brothers, Jerusalem: 1904.

The author (1852-1936) received rabbinic ordination from both R. Eliezer Gordon of Kelm and R. Isaac Elchanan Spektor of Kovno. He was a prolific author, celebrated in particular for his commentary on Talmud Yerushalmi which was highly praised by the Chofetz Chaim. Active in all aspects of Jewish communal life, Sivitz served as Rabbi in Pittsburgh for over forty years where he was a most outspoken critic of Reform Judaism. The present volume of sermons reflect the contemporary conditions of religious life in Pittsburgh.
