The author cites numerous ‘recently (re-)published’ works, placing its authorship in the mid-19th century. These include: Chavos Da’as (Dyhernfurth, 1810), Chidushei Dinim (Sudylkov, 1831) She’erith Yehudah (Vilna, 1841), Yad Ephraim (Lvov, 1858) and others. Repeated references to Admo”r Zt”l appear to allude to R. SCHNEUR ZALMAN OF LIADI (the Alter Rebbe, 1745-1812).
