כיס תפילין העשוי מעור מהשטיח של האדמו”ר מסטמר רבי יואל טייטלבוים. 24X24 ס”מ. - TEITELBAUM, YOEL (Grand Rebbe of Satmar, 1887-1979). Tefillin-bag. Made from antelope skin rug from the Florida residence of the Satmar Rebbe. Velcro closure at top. 9.5 x 9.5 inches (24 x 24 cm). For a number of years during the 1960’s and 1970’s, the Satmar Rebbe spent the winter months in Miami Beach. There, he resided in the home of a well-to-do follower and former Sigheter, Mr. Alexander Moskovitz. The Rebbe had his own annex in the house and on the floor between the Rebbe’s bedroom and his study and receiving-room, lay this antelope rug. After the Rebbe passed away, a Moskovitz relative took the rug and fashioned from it this Tefillin-bag. The intention being that the rug had a special quality to it due to the saintly Rebbe having walked across it so often, oftentimes while in a state of spiritual ecstasy.
