Group of c. 22 Autograph Letters Signed written in Hebrew by R. Zvi Hirsch Schlez to his parents and other family members. * With: Description by Ben-Zion Shlez of the funeral of R. Isser Yehuda of Jerusalem, formerly Dayan of Brisk and author of Ezrath Yehuda. 1876. Author of Nifla’oth MiTorath Hashem Yithborach, R. Tzvi Hirsch Schlez (1834-1914) studied under the Netziv in Volozhin. He established four Yeshivoth in Ukraine, in the towns of Cherkasy, Korsun, Uman and Orzischev. His father, R. Ben-Zion Shlez (d. 1896) was the son-in-law of R. Shabthai Yafeh and is buried on Jerusalem’s Mount of Olives.
