R. Aryeh Leibush Horowitz served as the rabbi in Siret, Stryi, and Stanislav, all communities in Galicia and Bukovina. He emerged as one of the leading Galician Poskim of his day, alongside R. Shalom Mordechai Schwadron (Maharsha’m) and R. Yitzchak Schmelkes.
