(HOLOCAUST). Autograph letter sent from Konzentrationslager Auschwitz. 'Schutzhaftling' (protective custody prisoner) Jan Zemanek writes in German (as required) in pencil to his aunt Anna Krajowa in Cracow.
On single page states how well he is fairing, and that he may write letters and receive packages. With Auschwitz postal cancel and censor stamp: ''Checked / 11 / K.L. Auschwitz''. with printed rules for outgoing mail. Correspondent records his birth-date and Lager location (22nd March 1927; Block 7).
Four attached pages, with address panel and return address panel. Separating at folds, taped. 8vo.
