Magrov 1877
Descendant of R. Nochum Tzvi of Kalime, R. Yosef Alter Epstein was one of the greatest Poskim of Galicia. He served as Dayan in Magrov and later, Rav of Ozheron. Author of Ginzei Yoseph (Munkacs 1895) which carried many important approbations, including that of Grand Rabbi Aharon Rokeach of Belz.
