ROTH, AHARON (“Reb Ahrele, ” 1894-1947). Autograph Letter Signed written in Hebrew on plain paper to R. Avraham Groman. A personal letter to a student with greetings. On verso is a note added by R. Tzvi Ze’ev Peltz with blessings of Mazal-Tov. Two pages. Stained. 8vo. (Jerusalem): 10th Nissan n.y Born in Ungvar, R. Aharon Roth became renowned as a supremely pious and ascetic rabbinic leader. With close connections to the Admorim of Belz and Vizhnitz, he attracted a following at a young age, establishing a pietist community in Satmar entitled Shomer Emunim. He relocated to Eretz Israel in 1939 and settled in Meah She’arim. His ideological successors lead such groups as Shomer Emunim, Toldos Aharon, Toldos Avraham Yitzchak, Mevakshei Emunah and Nachlas Aharon.
