Grandson of Rabbi Moshe Sofer - the Chasam Sofer, R. Shmuel Ehrenfeld was the rabbi of Mattersdorf. Rabbi Singer (1855-1930), a student of Rabbi Esriel Hildesheimer, was the rabbi of Miklos (Sânnicolau Mare in Romanian). His father was Rabbi Pesach Feivel Singer, rabbi of Kirchdorf, Slovakia.
