ROTTENBERG, YISROEL TZVI (Admor of Kossin, The Ohr Moleh, 1889-1944). Letter Signed and stamped, written in Hebrew on letterhead to Rabbis Leo Jung and Avraham Tzvi Friedman, directors of Chevras Tomchei Torah of New York. Acknowledging receipt of donation and discussing financial needs of his yeshiva. The document is also signed by R. Chananya Yom Tov Lipa Teitelbaum and R. Shalom Eliyahu Felberbaum, and two others, listed as gabbaim. Two pages. 4to. Kosson (Kosoni, or Mezokaszony, Hungary): Tuesday of Parshath Pinchas 1938 R. Yisrael Tzvi Rottenberg’s father, R. Yehosef Rottenberg (1853-1911) was the founder of Kosson Chassidus. After his death, an elder son succeeded, until his own untimely death in 1920, whereupon R. Yisroel Tzvi became Rebbe - in addition to his responsibilities as director of a thriving Yeshiva. The Menahel of the yeshiva was the Rebbe’s son-in-law, R.
