Shmuel Gross was the Av Beth Din of the Sefardish (Chassidic) community in Krula. His father, R. Raphael (d. 1914) was the Berbeshter Rebbe, and his father-in-law was R. Yeshaya Steiner (1851-1925) Admor of Kerestir.
