A letter of mazal tov and blessings upon the bar mitzvah of his son, Shmuel. One page. Hole punches. 8vo. Tel Aviv: 8th Shevat 1940 Born in Sadigura, Rabbi Yisrael was the grandson of R. Yisrael of Ruzhin and son of R. Yitzchak Friedmann (the Pachad Yitzchak), the first Admor of Boyan. Due to the destruction of World War I, he moved to Leipzig, where he led the movement following the death of his father. Forced to flee the Nazis, he settled in Tel Aviv in 1939. He maintained his family’s annual privilege of being first to light the traditional bonfire in Meron on Lag B'Omer.
