ABUHATZEIRA, YA’AKOV. (The Abir Ya’akov, 1806-1880). Autograph Document Signed, written in Hebrew to Rabbi Menashe. Two pages. Light wear, marginal taped repairs. 12mo. Rabbi Ya’akov ibn Masoud Abuhatzeira was one of the greatest sages of North Africa. Renowned for his deep piety, followers streamed to him for his blessings. He was a prolific author both in Kabbalah and Halacha. He is the grandfather of the venerated Baba Sali, R. Yisrael Abuhatzeira (see next lot).
