The luggage was manufactured in the first half of the of the 20th Century. Each piece in this group is initialed in gold leaf ”P.P.B.” Patricia Parks Butterfield wife of Attorney Roger C. Butterfield of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The group comes with a Louis Vuitton leather key holder and marked metal key ring with three keys. The keys operate most of the locks. Attached to the key ring is a University of Michigan Union, Life Member tag(1) Alzer 80 suitcase measuring Approx. 20 1/2” X 31 1/2” X 10” High and numbered 847046 on label marked ” Louis Vuitton Av. Marceau 78, Paris and labeled Bought from Saks & Company Fifth Avenue New York. This piece is missing the tray. Overall good condition with some scratches and dents. (1) Alzer 70 suitcase measuring Approx. 18 1/2” X 27 3/4” X 8 1/2” High and numbered 848920 on label marked ” Louis Vuitton Av.
