Golden Novelty Cast Metal St. Bernard Clock - A figural mantel clock depicting a St. Bernard rescue dog, produced by the Golden Novelty Manufacturing Company. The reverse side of the movement is stamped with multiple patent dates reading JAN. 15, 1878, MAY 6, 1890, DEC. 23, 1890, and JAN. 13, 1891, along with a regulator scale marked F and S. Length: 12 inches Height: 8 inches The bronze-toned finish shows rubbing and surface loss, particularly across the dog's head, the saddle area, and the high points of the fur texture. The paper dial displays heavy yellowing and foxing. The sub-seconds hand is missing from the upper sub-dial. Scattered surface oxidation and grime are present on the case and movement plate. The clock is untested for operational functionality and may require professional service.
