Lefton Ceramic Lady Head Vases - This pair of mid-century ceramic head vases features two stylized female busts produced in Japan. The first figure depicts a woman with blonde hair wearing a peach-colored hat, detailed with closed eyes, wearing white opera-length gloves and an amber-colored marquise-shaped rhinestone necklace surrounded by gold-painted beads. The base is stamped with the black number 1736 and retains a red and gold foil label reading Leftons REG U S PAT OFF EXCLUSIVES JAPAN. The second figure features light brown hair, a white hat with an iridescent pearlized lustre glaze and also features closed eyes with heavy applied black eyelashes and a white gloved hand resting against the cheek. The base bears a small red and gold oval foil sticker reading JAPAN. Height: 5 1/2 inches Height: 5 3/4 inches. Both vases are in good vintage condition. Exhibiting fine crazing and manufacturer imperfections. No visible chips, cracks or repairs.
