Daum Pâte De Verre Amber Glass Guardian Lion - A miniature glass carving of a Chinese Guardian Lion, also known as a Foo Dog, executed in the Pâte De Verre technique. The figure is depicted in a traditional seated posture with its right paw resting upon a decorative ball. The material is a translucent amber-toned cast glass featuring a vibrant color gradient that transitions from a deep, reddish-amber at the head and mane to a lighter honey-yellow at the front legs and base. The exterior has a frosted, matte texture, while the interior and underside reveal numerous small, spherical air bubbles inherent to the casting process. The underside of the base features an incised signature in cursive script that reads Daum France. Height: 1 5/8 inches. The figure is in excellent vintage condition. The cast details, including the textured mane and collar bell, are well-preserved. There are no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The matte surface finish is consistent throughout, with only minor shelf wear present on the flat contact points of the base. Minor internal air bubbles are present from the time of manufacture.
