Bidspirit auction | John Peplowski Signed Cast Relief

John Peplowski Signed Cast Relief Plaque - MCM cast relief plaque by John Peplowski. Titled “Four Corners,” the work presents an abstract incised narrative composition divided into contrasting visual zones: a stylized standing human figure at left, clustered architectural forms, a tree and village-like landscape, flowing road or river lines, and a prominent bird form in the lower right foreground. The plaque is signed in the lower area “Peplowski” and dated ’75. Frame: 16.5 x 14.5 inches. The dark-stained wooden frame shows light cosmetic scuffing and minor wear to the corners consistent with age. The paper backing on the reverse is torn in several locations and has been partially repaired.
