Bidspirit auction | Monumental Brutalist Art Glass Vase

Monumental Brutalist Art Glass Vase - Large hand-formed clear art glass vase in a brutalist/organic-modern style. Thick molten walls are pulled into vertical folds and ribs that look like dripping ice or draped fabric. The rim is irregular and flared, three high lobes with deep valleys, so the silhouette changes from every angle. The underside is thick and fire-polished with no maker’s mark visible. Height: 16 inches. It is clean and bright with strong optical distortion in the folds. No chips or cracks. It has base scratches commensurate with age and use.
