Bidspirit auction | Italian Millefiori Scrambled Art Glass

Italian Millefiori Scrambled Art Glass Pedestal Paperweight - A vintage pedestal art glass paperweight executed in a scrambled or end-of-day millefiori technique. The flared, footed form is composed of a dense internal arrangement of multicolored canes and filigrana ribbons encased in clear glass. The base is finished with a rough, unpolished pontil scar, and the underside shows no maker marks, signatures, or adhesive labels. The piece reflects the traditional Venetian style of Murano glass production. Height: 4 inches The paperweight is in very good vintage condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The clear glass shows excellent clarity with typical light shelf wear to the underside of the flared base. Small internal seeds are present, consistent with the glassblowing process.
