Austrian Petit Point Floral Evening Bag - A vintage petit point evening bag featuring a fine needlework floral motif. The interior is lined with a peach-colored satin fabric and includes a single slip pocket. Within this pocket, an impressed stamp in silver-tone block letters reads MADE IN AUSTRIA. The bag includes a coordinating gold-tone link chain handle and an accompanying rectangular handheld vanity mirror with a plain paper backing. Width: 7 inches Height: 4 1/2 inches (excluding handle). The bag is in fair to good vintage condition. The exterior needlework is largely intact, though there is visible fraying and loose white threads along the upper edge of the frame. The interior satin lining shows signs of use, including smudges, general soiling, and several small reddish stains. The included vanity mirror exhibits desilvering and oxidation around the edges. The metal frame shows light surface scratches and tarnishing the clasp and chain remain functional.
