Bidspirit auction | Spun Glass Miniature Baby Grand

Spun Glass Miniature Baby Grand Piano & Stool - A two-piece miniature decorative set featuring a baby grand piano and a matching stool, crafted from clear spun and woven glass. The piano is constructed with a solid glass frame and three curved, cabriole-style legs. The body and the elevated lid are filled with an intricate woven lattice pattern, highlighted by yellow-tinted accents along the borders. The interior of the piano includes several straight glass filaments designed to represent strings. The matching three-legged stool features a similarly woven top with yellow glass highlights. No maker marks, signatures, or labels are visible on either piece. Piano Height: 4.5 inches Piano Width: 4.5 inches Stool Height: 1.5 inches. The set is in fair vintage condition due to the extreme fragility of the spun glass. A close-up inspection reveals at least one broken internal filament (string) near the center of the piano body. The exterior woven edges and structural legs appear intact, though minor minute losses may be present within the delicate lattice work.
