Manship Bronze JFK Inaugural Medal - A bronze commemorative medal celebrating the 1961 inauguration of John F. Kennedy. The obverse features a high-relief profile portrait of Kennedy facing left, with the name JOHN FITZGERALD KENNEDY inscribed along the rim. The reverse depicts the Seal of the President of the United States, encircled by fifty stars and the inscriptions PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and INAUGURATED JANUARY 20TH 1961. The edge of the medal is stamped in block letters MEDALLIC ART CO. N.Y. BRONZE. Diameter: 2.75 inches. The medal is in very good vintage condition, exhibiting a warm golden-brown patina. The wooden stand is in good condition with a functional cradle.
