Haeger Ceramic Art Deco Woman Sculpture - This large ceramic bust is executed in a stylized Art Deco revival manner, featuring a woman in profile with flowing, swept-back hair that forms the structural support and base of the piece. The sculpture is finished in a smooth, high-gloss cream glaze over an earthenware body. The form is minimalist, characterized by closed eyes and elongated, streamlined curves. The underside of the base features an adhesive paper label with green text reading Haeger followed by the registration symbol and AMERICAN MADE below. The label further states COPYRIGHT 1989 and includes a handwritten inventory number 6040. The interior of the sculpture is hollow, and the unglazed foot rim shows three protective circular felt pads. Height: 18.5 inches Base Length: 11.25 inches Base Width: 4.5 inches. The sculpture is in good vintage condition. The gloss glaze is well-preserved with no visible chips, cracks, or professional repairs. Minor manufacturing artifacts are present, including small inherent glaze pinholes and dark specks consistent with the firing process visible on the upper hair section. A small dark surface scuff is present on the interior curve of the hair. The unglazed base shows typical light shelf wear and minor scuffing.
