Royal Rudolstadt Porcelain Hand Painted Violet Tray - A porcelain double-handled tray featuring a hand-painted floral design of purple and lavender violets with soft green foliage. The decoration is set against a shaded background transitioning from cream to a dusty pink at the rim, which is finished with a delicate gold band. The two open-loop handles are heavily gilded. The base bears multiple marks, including a green transfer mark consisting of a crown over a shield containing the letter B, surrounded by the words ROYAL RUDOLSTADT and Prussia in a circular arrangement. This mark is repeated as an impressed device in the porcelain body. Additionally, a central gold stamp reads H.u.R. ART. STUDIO HAND PAINTED. The front surface is artist-signed in gold script near the central leaf cluster, reading E. Beyer. Diameter: 9.75 inches including handles. The tray is in good antique condition. There is substantial gilding wear present on both handles and intermittent rubbing to the gold rim. Minor surface scratches are visible on the painted area consistent with age and domestic use. The porcelain body is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs.
