USSR Wood Khokhloma Goblet & Matryoshka Porcelain Shakers - A three-piece collection of Russian folk art-themed tabletop items consisting of a hand-painted wooden goblet and a pair of ceramic salt and pepper shakers. The goblet is decorated in the traditional Khokhloma lacquerware style, featuring a black ground with vibrant gold, red, and yellow floral and berry motifs. The interior and base are finished in a metallic gold-tone lacquer. The underside of the goblet base retains a black and gold adhesive label with a red center reading MADE IN USSR in uppercase sans-serif letters. The accompanying salt and pepper shakers are crafted from white glazed porcelain and shaped as stylized matryoshka nesting dolls. Both shakers are fitted with translucent plastic stoppers at the base. Shakers Height: 3.75 inches Goblet Height: 4.75 inches. The set is in very good vintage condition.
