1952 Baston Jell-O Advertising Chalkware Bust - This vintage advertising figurine is a promotional bust for the Jell-O brand, produced by the General Foods Corporation. The piece depicts a female character in traditional Scottish attire. The figurine is constructed of painted plaster, commonly referred to as chalkware. The front of the circular base features the painted slogan NOW'S THE TIME FOR JELL-O in black and red lettering. The back of the base is impressed with the text COPR. 1952 P. W. BASTON, identifying the design as the work of sculptor Prescott W. Baston, known for the Sebastian Miniatures line. Height: 3.25 inches. The figurine is in fair vintage condition. There is significant paint loss and flaking visible on the white base, particularly along the bottom edge and the left side.
