Gustavsberg Argenta Green Lion Rampant Urn - A large Art Deco stoneware lidded jar or urn from the Argenta line by Gustavsberg, designed by Wilhelm Kage. The square body is flanked by three sets of rectangular lug handles on each side, which are highlighted with silver banding, matching the silver accents on the stepped lid and the rectangular foot. The underside of the base features an impressed anchor mark surrounded by the name GUSTAVSBERG, the model number 1206, and the inscription Made in Sweden. Height: 11 inches The urn is in very good vintage condition overall. Fine vertical crazing lines are visible in the green glaze on two sides of the body. The silver overlay shows age-related tarnish and patina, particularly within the textured mane of the lion and along the handle edges. The interior rim of the lid and the vessel opening show no visible chips, cracks, or professional repairs.
