Carrom Company Style E No 1 Archarena Board - This assortment features a vintage two-sided game board produced by The Carrom Company of Ludington, Michigan. This Style E No. 1 Archarena combination board is constructed for various manual games including carroms, checkers, and crokinole. The primary face displays a central black and white checkerboard grid surrounded by red and black lithographed scrolls and corner numbering. The reverse side showcases a circular target design with a central sunburst and radiating arrow motifs in red and black. The board is framed with wooden side rails and fitted with green cotton net corner pockets. An adhesive red label on the frame rail is printed with ”The CARROM COMPANY LUDINGTON, CARROMS TRADE MARK MICHIGAN STYLE (E) No. 1 ~ MADE IN U. S. A.” along with patent dates ranging from 1889 to 1907. Included with the board is the original corrugated shipping box with a legible August 1937 manufacturer date stamp. Equipment consists of two tapered wooden cues, a rule book titled ”RULES for GAMES on Carrom GAME BOARDS” with a 1937 copyright, a supplementary bridge set manual, and a collection of pieces including 11 green rings, 13 red rings, 5 yellow rings, 10 wooden bowling pins, spinning tops, and 2 dice.
