Vintage Wicker Porthole Doll Carriage - A mid-twentieth century baby carriage featuring a two-tone woven wicker body in dark brown and natural tan tones. The carriage body is decorated with braided wicker accents in a decorative V-shaped pattern along the sides. It is equipped with a large, adjustable folding hood featuring two circular glass porthole windows set in metal rims. The wicker body sits atop a cream-painted metal chassis embellished with decorative scrollwork. The carriage rolls on four spoked wheels accented with black teardrop-shaped paint and fitted with solid black rubber tires. A U-shaped metal handle with a black-coated central grip is positioned at the rear above a foot-operated brake lever. The interior is lined with tan corduroy fabric and includes a matching top cover, a small cotton patchwork quilt, and a pink satin heart-shaped pillow with lace trim and a ballerina applique. A single detached brown leather safety strap with metal buckles is included. A small rectangular metal identification plate is attached to the horizontal rear crossbar of the chassis, but the inscribed characters are not legible and the carriage is otherwise unmarked.
