Effanbee Vinyl & Vintage Composition Kewpie Dolls - This lot consists of two dolls modeled after the Rose O'Neill Kewpie design. The first is a 1999 collector's edition produced by Effanbee, constructed from hard vinyl. The doll is dressed in a 50th-anniversary outfit featuring a black top with white embroidered Kewpie script, a pink felt poodle skirt with black piping, and a poodle applique with faux-jewel details. It includes black and white saddle shoes and a pink ribbon headband. The accompanying hangtag is printed Kewpie 1999 Jesco. Under license from Jesco. effanbee. The second item is an unmarked vintage composition doll with molded hair and a prominent painted yellow tuft. It features painted side-glancing eyes and is dressed in a sleeveless floral print cotton dress secured by a safety pin at the back. Height: 11.5 inches Height: 12.75 inches The Effanbee doll is in excellent overall condition and remains in its original presentation box with a metal stand, hangtag, and certificate of authenticity. The unmarked composition doll is in fair antique condition. Significant and deep crazing is visible across the head, face, and limbs. There is notable paint loss and cracking to the yellow hair tuft at the rear, and the right hand shows several chipped fingers. The body exhibits surface soil, scuffs, and small red marks on the limbs.
