Kenyan Wood Arched-Neck Giraffe Sculpture - A Kenyan hand-carved wooden sculpture depicting a mother giraffe and her calf on an integrated base. The mother is rendered in a stylized arched-neck pose, bending toward the smaller calf positioned between her front legs. The surface is decorated with a stained reticulated pattern over natural wood tones. The mother giraffe features a carved mane with a textured finish along the length of the neck. A white rectangular adhesive label on the underside of the base reads HAND CARVED MADE IN KENYA in black block letters. Height: 12 inches Base Width: 5.25 inches The sculpture is in good vintage condition. A stable vertical crack is present running from the lower neck through the chest of the mother giraffe. Minor scuffing and small nicks are visible along the base edges. The wood exhibits natural textures and small inherent voids characteristic of the hand-carving process.
