Korean Brass Lidded Duck Box - A vintage cast solid brass lidded container fashioned in the form of a swimming duck. The piece consists of two cast sections that fit together at a horizontal seam along the midpoint of the body. The exterior features detailed molded feathering on the wings and tail, with a textured scale-like pattern covering the breast and neck. The head is stylized with defined eyes and a broad bill. The interior is finished in a bright gold tone. The underside of the base bears a yellow clover-shaped foil sticker printed with the text MADE IN KOREA and an area of adhesive residue from a previously removed label. Length: 12 inches Height: 6.75 inches The duck box is in good vintage condition. The brass exterior exhibits a naturally aged patina with spots of green verdigris and oxidation in the recessed feathered areas. Minor surface scratches and shelf wear are present on the base. A small amount of white residue, likely from old polish, is visible on the interior of the lid.
