NJS Vinyl Stylized Mannequin Bust - A vintage mid-century modern mannequin display bust, produced for retail millinery or wig presentation. The piece is constructed from molded synthetic vinyl with a matte finish and features a highly stylized aesthetic characterized by an elongated neck and downcast facial features. The face is decorated with hand-painted details including thin, arched black eyebrows, brown eyes with painted lashes, and pale pink-toned lips. A small white adhesive label is affixed to the lower back base, which is printed in black with N J S on the top line and dlr-60BK on the second line. An irregular blue mark or transfer is present on the crown of the head. Height: 17 inches Base Width: 6 inches The mannequin is in fair overall vintage condition. Multiple dark scuffs, surface scratches, and areas of ground-in surface dirt are visible across the face, neck, and shoulders. Fine surface crazing and material stress lines are present on the side of the head and neck area (photo 3). The painted lips show significant fading and light wear to the pigment. A prominent blue smudge or mark of unknown origin is located on the crown of the head (photo 8).
