Hammered Steel Multi-Drawer Storage Cabinet - This mid-century industrial storage cabinet is constructed from steel with a textured silver-grey hammertone painted finish. The unit features a slanted top-access compartment secured by a hinged lid and a chrome-plated locking latch. The locking latch is stamped U.S.A. EXCELSIOR STAMFORD CONN. in three lines of block text. The interior of the top compartment includes a single longitudinal divider. Below the top bin are six identical drawers, each equipped with a polished pull handle that features an integrated slot for identification labels. The face of the lid and the upper cabinet section are accented with decorative vertical embossed parallel lines. Visible surface defects include scattered scratches, scuffs, and areas of paint loss throughout the body. The drawer pulls and locking latch exhibit small areas of surface oxidation and tarnish. A single red paint smear is present on the center-back panel. The interior of the top compartment and drawers shows minor staining and debris consistent with prior storage use. The locking mechanism is present, though the key is missing.
