Scott DE & Colonies Green Album & US Stamps - Vintage philatelic collection centered on a Scott Specialty Album for Postage Stamps of Germany & Colonies, copyright 1951, published by Scott Publications, Inc. of New York. The green textured binder houses an assortment of hinged stamps from the Imperial era through post-World War II occupation periods. Notable contents include 1923 inflation surcharges, 1942-1944 Military Air Post and Military Parcel Post issues, and 1948 Soviet Zone occupation overprints reading Sowjetische Besatzungs Zone. The lot is accompanied by a group of 1952 United States First Day Covers addressed to Mr. Robert Gustafson, featuring the 500th Anniversary of the Gutenberg Bible and various bicentennial commemoratives.
