American Thermos Metal Lunchbox & Brown Metal Canteen - This lot features a vintage industrial dome-top metal lunchbox and an unmarked brown metallic canteen. The steel lunchbox is finished with black exterior paint and a cream-colored interior. It features a hinged lid with a silver-tone metal handle and two front tension latches. The interior of the lid contains a wire bale designed to secure a thermos bottle. The base of the interior is stamped with a mark that reads A PRODUCT THE AMERICAN THERMOS BOTTLE CO NORWICH, CONN. U.S.A. in block lettering. The left end panel of the box is hand-engraved with the numerical identification 523. The accompanying canteen is constructed of metal with a copper-tone finish and features a threaded neck with a matching screw-on cap retained by a metal link chain.
