1992 DNC Commemorative Buttons & Financial Ephemera - An assortment of political memorabilia and vintage financial ephemera. The collection features a limited edition 1992 Democratic Candidate Commemorative Collection button set, produced by the National Education Association for the convention held at Madison Square Garden. The set is hand-numbered 000789 of 1100 and contains six 3-inch pinback buttons featuring portraits of Bill Clinton, Tom Harkin, Bob Kerrey, Paul Tsongas, Jerry Brown, and L. Douglas Wilder. Each button bears a printed GCIU union bug. Also included is a 1992 Democratic National Convention ribbon badge with a circular graphic badge and two hanging ribbons printed with gold-toned text reading INVEST IN EDUCATION and nea NATIONAL EDUCATION ASSOCIATION. The lot includes an embroidered shield-shaped USA 1992 Olympic team textile patch. The financial items consist of a Dow Theory Forecasts, Inc. trifold pamphlet titled the DOW THEORY and a two-sided cardboard Standard & Poor's Investor's Stock Computor slide-rule calculator. Button Mount: 13.5 x 10.5 inches Stock Computor Length: 10.5 inches. The collection is in overall very good condition. The button set remains in its original shrink-wrap with minor softening and light wear to the cardboard corners. The convention ribbon is housed in a plastic sleeve and shows minor surface wear to the badge. The embroidered Olympic patch is in excellent condition. The financial ephemera items are in good vintage condition; the Dow Theory pamphlet has light toning and standard folds, and the Standard & Poor's slide rule shows minor edge wear and light surface marks consistent with age.
