Pewabic Pottery Modernist Face Tile - This Pewabic Pottery earthenware tile features a relief-molded modernist design depicting overlapping faces cradled by a pair of hands. The surface is finished in a translucent green glaze with heavy intentional crackle. The reverse is dated 1993 and includes the impressed circular studio mark alongside a handwritten attribution. Measures: 2 1/4 inches square, 1/2 inch thick. The tile exhibits heavy crazing characteristic of the glaze type. Small nicks and chips are present along the edges and at the corners. Light surface grime and pencil marks are visible on the reverse.
