A Set of Six Bruce Simpson Glazed Stoneware Celestial Moon Face Mugs - A set of six coordinating mugs crafted from glazed stoneware by American ceramic artist Bruce Simpson. Each vessel features a hand-sculpted celestial moon face on one side, characterized by closed eyes and a smiling expression. The remaining exterior surface is decorated with various stamped radial motifs representing suns or stars. The pieces are finished in a monochrome off-white gloss glaze that exhibits subtle blue-gray pooling within the recessed sculpted and stamped details. Each mug is designed with a rounded body and a large looped handle. The base of the items features the incised cursive signature Bruce Simpson and the incised initials BS.
