Anchor Hocking or Similar, Vintage Amber Glass Grape Cluster Spheres, Two-Tone MCM Decor, c. 1960s - A collection of vintage translucent glass spheres, traditionally utilized as the primary components for Mid-Century Modern glass grape cluster decorations. The lot consists of two distinct color palettes: a deep, rich dark amber and a lighter, golden yellow-amber. These spheres are solid glass, featuring the characteristic internal air bubbles, known as seeds, and slight surface undulations typical of mid-20th-century pressed glass manufacturing. While often associated with manufacturers like Anchor Hocking or Kanawha, these pieces were widely produced for the floral and home decor markets during the 1950s through the 1970s. The spheres were typically wired together to form decorative fruit clusters, a staple of kitsch and MCM interior design. This lot is ideal for the restoration of vintage grape clusters or for use as glass jewels in stained glass and architectural glass projects. Measurements: Darker spheres approximately 0.538 inches in diameter; lighter spheres approximately 0.568 inches in diameter. The collection is in overall excellent vintage condition. The glass remains clear and vibrant with no significant chips, cracks, or heavy abrasions. Minor surface variations and internal bubbles are original to the manufacturing process.
