Vintage Two-Piece Dress Comprising a Sheer Overdress and Striped Slip Dress - Vintage two-piece dress comprising a sheer overdress and a coordinating striped slip dress. The overdress is constructed from a lightweight black sheer fabric, featuring puffed short sleeves and a wide notched collar with red and white striped trim. The cuffs are finished with matching striped trim. The bodice is detailed with three large decorative buttons in a red and white striped pattern and includes a metal side zipper. The accompanying slip dress is made from a smooth fabric with horizontal red and white stripes on the bodice and diagonal stripes on the A-line skirt. It features a side snap-button closure. This dress is believed to have been hand-made, there are no tags present. Flat waist measurement: approximately 14 inches The ensemble shows visible signs of age-related wear. The sheer overdress exhibits some fraying and tearing at the shoulder seams. The slip dress shows fraying at the side snap closure. General wear and some light stains consistent with age and use is present throughout both garments.
